Samson's Strength

La Fuerza de Sans贸n

Before Samson was born, an angel told his mother that he would be special. He would be a Nazarite, which meant he should never cut his hair. God would give him great strength to save Israel from their enemies. Samson grew up to be the strongest man in the world. He killed a lion with his bare hands. He defeated a thousand enemy soldiers with just the jawbone of a donkey. The Philistines wanted to know the secret of his strength. They sent a woman named Delilah to find out. Delilah asked Samson many times, 'What makes you so strong?' Finally, Samson told her the truth: 'If my hair is cut, I will lose my strength.' While Samson slept, Delilah had someone cut his hair. The Philistines captured Samson and blinded him. But while Samson was in prison, his hair grew back. At a big celebration, the Philistines brought Samson to the temple to mock him. Samson prayed to God for strength one more time. He pushed the pillars of the temple and it collapsed, defeating the Philistines.

Sans贸n or贸 a Dios pidiendo fuerza una vez m谩s.
